Greenhills Bakery Irish Brown Bread Story
Dermot Quinn has so many sweet memories of Greenhills, his home in County Offaly, Ireland, but the fondest are of his Granny Murphy and the wonderful brown bread she would make. Since immigrating to the U.S. he yearned for her lovely bread. After many years of leading, Granny Murphy relented and passed this recipe and other favorite on to Dermot. Her recipes are family secrets and guaranteed to please the palate. Hey also rekindle memories of a simpler time.
Greenhills Bakery was opened in 1991 as a tribute to Granny Murphy (1912-1990). We are certain she is smiling upon us.
